Going to see 'Star Trek'

So I'm getting excited, going to see the new 'Star Trek' movie tomorrow night with a big group. This is usually pretty fun, the first BIG summer blockbuster with a big crowd, big screen and a big bag of popcorn.

Blackberry Storm Sucks Balls and Cock

Here's another blog for ya!

I was trying to take a nice picture of myself to post on here, so I took one with my phone and...oh yeah, my phone sucks dick....forgot about that.

I have the Blackberry Storm. I'm on my 2nd one, by the way - the first one totally broke.

This piece of shit never works. The touch screen that clicks when you press a button, a feature that was originally touted as being so nice and innovative, UGH! What a nightmare.

The software is slow as hell, the screen is forever freezing up (so bad that you have to pull the battery) and the camera is...it's just awful! Every picture comes out white-washed out. I look like Nosferatu in every shot.

Don't Be a Twat on Twitter

Okay, Twitter is dumb.

And it's all over the place.

I signed up on Twitter about 2 weeks ago and after about three hours of dicking around, I came to the conclusion that it is hella lame! Seriously! Who cares if I am at bored at work, if I am sipping my mocha, if I am hanging out with friends.

[Yes, I do realize the hypocrisy of slamming Twitter for it's promotion of self-loving bullshit by writing about it on my blog, thank you]

But Twitter?!? It's just a Facebook status without all the other crap. And frankly, I'd rather save up my "material" for a cool blog entry.

Enough with the Twitter.

I was in line at Jason's Deli this afternoon and on their menu they had a line that read:

"Join us on Twitter @Jason's Deli"

I'm pretty sure that's a shit Twitter. What could they possibly have to say? You know it's just going to be advertising. "Come in on Wednesday and get 10% off when you mention this Twitter!"

You know they won't use it for something good or useful! They won't Twitter to let you know they recently caught employees pissing in the pickle tub.

Garden Grounds Coffee Shop

So whenever I start these things I never know where to begin, or what I should write about first. I wind up wasting hours of my life staring at my computer screen trying to decide if I should go on my latest rant on Rush Limbaugh, list my reasons as to why the French New Wave is the best of all film movements, or list out what I have come to conclude is the absolute best plan for self-preservation in the event of a zombie invasion.

But, as I mentioned before, I can never seem to find that perfect topic, that perfect place to start. So I am going to start with what is right out my window:

The Garden Grounds Coffee Shop on Alma School Road and Southern Avenue.

Now I have been a Starbucks-whore for over 8 years now (HOLY SHIT!!! Has it really been that long?!). A day didn't go by when I didn't get my Iced Venti Mocha - I love those things!

And I am not going to go off on the Bux by any means, I still love them and their mochas. But due to recent changes in my life (a new carpool that leaves me at work for 8 hours a day without a car, and with the nearest Starbucks quite a ways away) I am having to walk across the street and rely on this new, indie hideaway to get my espresso.

And, well, it's not bad. I actually really like it.

I made my first visit a couple months back when they first opened and, naturally, ordered their version of a large iced mocha. Boo. It was not good.

But, a few weeks ago, shortly after this carpool started, I found myself desperate for my caffeine fix (bad, I know) and had no choice but to betray my beloved Starbucks yet again.

Well, I like it. I love the smell of the fresh coffee early in the morning. Lately, Starbucks smells of burnt sausage and overheated metal from their new morning sandwiches. The two people running the place (seriously, I think this is all who works there) are very nice and polite. AND, they make some great drinks! I guess they just needed a few weeks to get things going.

Welcome

Hey there anyone who is reading this,
Welcome to my new blog. I really hope to keep this going, keep things fresh, but I guess I should first get something started.

With that said...
