I'm 28 years old, a month away from 29, and three months away from being unemployed. Sucks ass! The company I work for is closing our office, and soon I will be without a job in perhaps one of the worst times in history to be out of work.
What really pisses me off, though, is the reason my office is closing. You see, I work for a small finance company (tax work for government-issued bonds) and in our office here in Phoenix (it's really in Mesa) it's just me and one other person working here. Yep, that's it! The girl I work with does all the finance calculations and such, and I am pretty much an administrative assistant (a very well-paid assistant, too).
Well, this dumb bitch got married back in October, and is now leaving the company to focus on having a family, staying home and being with her children. By the way, she's not even pregnant yet. AND, her and the tool she married don't even have their own house. They're renting this tiny house that they HATE, and she's forever going on about how their credit makes it difficult for them to apply for a loan.
So yeah, she surprised everyone in our company with her news that she will be leaving in one month, and as a result, my boss is now forced to close our office.
Thus, I am now spending my free time putting together resumes and cover letters, and checking Monster and jobing.com every three hours.
Oh yeah, by the way.....remember that little coffee shop I had blogged about a while back? It's out of business now.
Great time to leave your job and fuck your friends out of a job.
OH YEAH!!!! And one more thing. Apparently she and her husband have been talking about this course of action for "quite some time now" too.....You know, it would have been AWESOME if she would have hinted at her plans BEFORE I bought my new house two months ago.
